Cheap Double Paned Windows

Cheap double pane windows don't have to be cheap in quality. Good affordable windows can vary from $200 to $400 per window installed and are very appealing to homeowners around the country. Installation and construction are important elements to factor into consideration, as these can reduce the lifespan of the window. Remaining in the low end market, there are some higher priced options which can tick all the boxes for a window replacement project.

Gorell 5155

The price of windows often depend on the amount of work needed to complete the project properly, leaving the home with a good quality window which is sealed to protect the home from the elements. This is why paying $350 for a double hung is probably a little unrealistic, but paying between $400 and $425 is realistic as long as it has a standard low-E glass package without any upgrades and the installation is basic without any extra work needed. The Gorell 5155 is a decent double hung window manufactured by a good quality company. The company was recently bought by Soft-Lite who have a good reputation in the window industry for vinyl windows.

The good news is that without the upgrades, homeowners are left with a good quality and solid window with fair performance numbers. Simonton released their Assure range in 2012, this window is expected to replace the 5050, though pricing isn't confirmed as of yet.

While this is the case, it's not going to be easy to get this window in a low price range and realistic pricing is along the lines of $400 per window. This price is without any upgrades and without any major installation work required.
